Stable, viscous creamy scouring compositions are disclosed, which are substantially free of terpene solvents, and contain a narrowly-defined solvent derived from propylene glycol represented by the formula: wherein R is a C1 to C8 alkyl, alkenyl or alkyl aryl group, preferably a C1 to C4 alkyl group, and n is an integer from 1 to 4. The compositions of the invention show excellent cleaning ease-of-rinsing, shine performance, and are not aggressive to cleansed surfaces and packaging materials. |
