PURPOSE: To provide a buckle for chin strap by which a helmet can be rapidly put on or taken off, and it becomes unnecessary to adjust the length of a chin strap when a person uses the helmet again after the length of the chin strap has been adjusted once. CONSTITUTION: A buckle comprises a female member 24 and a male member 22, the female member 24 comprises a center piece 36, and the extended pieces 38, 40 connected to the left and right of the center piece 36, and the free ends of side straps of the helmet, and the free ends of the rear straps 28, 28a are attached to the extended pieces 38, 40 in such a manner that the length thereof is adjustable. The male member 22 comprises a body 64, and a down piece 72 connected to a lower part of the body, and one end of the chin strap 30 is attached to the down piece 72 in such manner that the length is adjustable. The center piece 36 of the female member 24 comprises a C-shaped recessed part 32, and the body 64 of the male member 22 comprises a post 66 to be engaged with the recessed part 32 like a snap. |
