PRODUCTION OF METHANOL FROM IRON MANUFACTURE WASTE GAS AND COKE OVEN GAS

摘要

PURPOSE:To provide a process for producing methanol at a low cost using the by-product raw materials and energy of an iron-manufacture process. CONSTITUTION:Iron manufacture waste gas is mixed with coke oven gas and the carbon dioxide gas in the iron manufacture waste gas and the hydrogen in the coke oven gas are made to react with each other in a reactor without separating from respective source gases to obtain methanol. Methanol can be produced by using raw materials and energy which are available in an iron mill.
