PURPOSE:To protect the safety of persons in an automobile against shock from the rear. CONSTITUTION:A rear shock sensing device 3 senses the shock from the rear, and a shock absorber 1 relieves the shock at the collision time. A control device (a valve control device 6) operates the shock absorber 1 by a sensitive signal from the rear shock sensing device 3 at the time of collision from the rear. The safety of persons in an automobile can be thus protected by the action of the shock absorber in the case of collision from the rear. |
