<p>PURPOSE:To shorten the recording time of index data on the video signals from a user with a VTR device of a segment recording system. CONSTITUTION:The segments of a magnetic tape which records the video signals are divided to segments where a user can rewrite the index data and the segments where the user cannot rewrite the index data. The rewriting of the index data from the user is executed only with the segments where the user can rewrite the index data. The traveling time of the magnetic tape for the purpose of once reading and preserving the index data which is not rewritten is shortened as compared with the system which mixedly records the index data rewritable by the user and the index data nonrewritable by the user.</p> |
