PURPOSE:To provide a paper feed tray capable of surely detecting a jam in a paper conveyance passage at the front end portion of a drawer type feed paper tray which is taken into and out of the control face of an image forming apparatus. CONSTITUTION:A window or a transparent portion 3 through which the inside of a feed paper tray 2 can be seen is provided on the front face plate of the feed paper tray 2 and jammed papers in the tray are visually recognized through the window or transparent portion. The window or transparent portion 3 is provided in such a manner as overlapping the range of the width of paper of minimum size fed by the tray.
