<p>PURPOSE:To continuously supply electronic components without stopping a tape feeder main body during exchange of series of chip components in a device which stores chip components in the component storage holes of a carrier tape and which connects together the series of chip components held by a holding tape. CONSTITUTION:An automatic connecting device for series of chip components is equipped with a roughly rectilinear connection passage 13 into which the rear end of a first series 10a of chip components is inserted from the other end and the front end of a second series 10b of chip components from the other end, a first cutting station I' for machining the rear end of the first series of chip components, a second cutting station I for machining the front end of the second series of chip components, and a sticking station II wherein an adhesive tape is stuck between both series of the cut chip components in such a way that storage holes succeed one after another at regular intervals.</p> |
