A tyre for a vehicle wheel comprises at least one liquid duct 12 extending inside the tread 10 of the tyre around the circumference of the tyre. The combined width of the ducts parallel with the axis of the tyre constitutes at least 25% of the width of the tread 10. Each duct has on one of its radially separated limit walls beads 7, which are distributed around the circumference of the tyre and with their top bear against or have a clearance 6 against the cross-sectional contour of the duct so that a liquid flow can be driven along the duct. The elastic deformation of the tyre in the region of the bearing contact of the tyre against the carriageway is arranged to bring the beads 7 into strong duct-screening contact with the duct walls in this region. <IMAGE> |
