The device for storage and maturing of cheese in loaf form involves a first plate which for aerating the cheese has a number of through holes. The plate is of plastic, and on its side turned away from that on which the cheese is located has a ribbing structure, the ribs of which form channels for air circulation, and also prevent the plate from bending. The ribbing is positioned sandwich fashion between two holed plates, so that the device is made suitable for manual or automatic turning of the cheese. A part of the ribs joining the two plates is arranged radially and symmetrically, whilst the remainder run parallel between the radial ribs. All the hollow spaces formed by the ribs issue on the periphery of the device, making possible an easy cleaning with pressurised water. ADVANTAGE - For the storage and ripening of cheese.
