<p>PURPOSE:To provide a wireless keyboard which is provided with enough responsibility as information processing system keyboard and substantially eliminates the need of maintenance of a power supply, and to provide an information processing system for effectively using the wireless keyboard. CONSTITUTION:Electric power is transmitted in a wireless manner by an electric power transmission means built in the information processing system to an electric power receiving means built in a wireless keyboard 5. The electric power conversion circuit built in the wireless keyboard 5 serves to convert the transmitted electric power into DC voltage and to charge the built-in charge battery, and also serves as the power source for actuating the keyboard 5. In order to extend the service life of the charge battery when the keyboard is used in a place where the transmission of electric power is not available due to long distance from a information processing system main unit 1, two kinds of lock means are used for switching a CPU clock frequency and performing low power consumption operation by means of automatic power OFF.</p> |
