PURPOSE:To scatter the load of the computers in a network by switching a sound/character conversion server of a computer of the high load to that of a computer of the lower load. CONSTITUTION:This system comprises of the computers 4-10 connected to a network, the dictionaries 1-3 stored in the storages connected to the computers 4-6, and the terminal equipments 11 and 12. In regard of the sound/character conversion of a server client system, a sound/character conversion server working in the computer 4, for example, performs the sound/character conversion service with use of the dictionary 1. When the sound/character conversion is carried out with the use of the programs working in the equipments 11 and 12, the sound/character conversion input received from a keyboard is supported by using the inter-process communication and utilizing the service of the server on the computer 4. If the converting operation of the computer 4 is impossible, the conversion server is switched to another one. So that the stable service is always secured. |
