PURPOSE:To highly modulate the output of the second harmonic emitted from a nonlinear optical material. CONSTITUTION:The electrode 9 is provided on the crystal surface so as to be impressed electric field in the c axis direction of a LiNbO3 crystal 4A being a nonlinear optical crystal and by applying the specified AC voltage with use of a synthesizer and an amplifier in the c axis direction, for example 10muW output of the second harmonic output in the wavelength of about 528nm is modulated with about 20% of the modulation degree. |
