DRIVING METHOD FOR DIRECT CURRENT TYPE PLASMA DISPLAY |
摘要 |
PURPOSE:To simplify the structure of the display itself and to improve the resolution and contrast by adding a signal which substitutes for ignition discharge to an anode signal, and driving the display. CONSTITUTION:A sequential scanning signal (cathode signal) for one certain cathode line scans a current cathode line at the same time with the scan end of a last cathode line. An anode is supplied with an ON/OFF anode signal in synchronism with the cathode sequential scanning. A write (WRITE) signal is added to the anode signal. This write signal is a data signal sent to when a display cell which is made to illuminate and a display cell consisting of the same anode line and last cathode line are OFF and this display cell is made to illuminate. This write signal is a short-time signal having a potential (WRITE level) which is high enough to enable the light emission even when there is no priming effect from the ignition discharge. |
