Bag which can be converted into a protective garment or into an apron, characterised in that it consists of two tubular elements (1) which are the extension of a central part (2) itself consisting of a front wall and of a rear wall, the assembly of these elements being provided, along its entire edge, the upper edge in a bag configuration or the inner edge in a garment configuration, with means (9) for linking the said front and rear parts of the central element and extensions. The central element (2) of the bag, which is of concave shape, having, on its top opposite the linking means, a movable part (3), connected to the central element (2) via a continuous closure means (10) of rounded shape, for example of elliptical shape, defining an opening permitting access to an inner pocket (14), in a bag configuration, which, by turning over (turning out) becomes a hood in the shape of a bell, provided with a protective piece having an adjustable facial opening (6) in the garment configuration. <IMAGE>
