PURPOSE:To compose a mechanism for detecting the housing condition of secondary batteries which can be charged with few parts, and to set an apparatus in a small space. CONSTITUTION:A cabinet 2 furnishing a battery housing 3 formed to house primary batteries or secondary batteries 6 and 6 of different forms, a switch 16 provided in the cabinet 2 and switching the operation of a charging circuit to feed the charging current to the secondary batteries 6 and 6, and a battery terminal plate 13 provided in the battery housing 3 and abutted to one terminal 6a are provided, and either one side of the batteries 6 and 6 of the primary or secondary batteries is installed in the battery housing 3 while a separator 15 is provided integrally to the basic end of the battery terminal plate 13, so as to change over the switch 16 selectively by press-operating the separator 15. |
