PURPOSE:To prevent the leakage of the illuminating light reflected by a sealing material provided in order to confine a liquid crystal between two sheets of transparent substrates to a display surface and to prevent the infiltration of the dust of a liquid crystal driving circuit part to the underside of a protection panel. CONSTITUTION:A liquid crystal panel 1 is constituted of a TFT panel 2 disposed between polarizing plates 5 and 6, a color filter panel 3, and the liquid crystal confined by the sealing material 4 between both panels. An HIC substrate 8 mounted with the circuit for driving the display device is mounted on the liquid crystal panel 1. The HIC substrate 8 and the peripheral part of the liquid crystal panel 1 are housed in shielding cases 11, 12. A light shieldable tape 16 is so stuck as to cover the inner side part of the sealing material in order to shield the reflected light of the sealing material 4. |
