PURPOSE:To control generation of noise when revolving motion of a photosensitive drum is carried out to prevent local overheating by a heat roll at the time of standing by of printing motion of a printer. CONSTITUTION:At the time of standing by of the printing motion when a printing command signal PC from a host computer 1 is OFF, control to have a pulse motor 4 rotated and driven at a minimum pitch at every specified preset time PT is carried out by the printer mechanism control part 2 utilizing a timer circuit 6. With the rotational drive of the pulse motor 4, the photosensitive drum 5 can be made to carry out rotational motion at a low velocity of being rotated at about 120 degrees in 15 minutes. |
