The device for categorising components having a streamlined (spindle-shaped) end includes means for bringing the components (3) to a conveyor (7) on which the components turn their streamlined end (3a) upwards or downwards, the said conveyor (7) being arranged so that its part which supports the components (3) is inclined so that the components rest on a batten (8) and is brought to a strip (10) causing the components resting via their streamlined end to escape from the strip and to be directed to a receiving conveyor (12). <IMAGE>
