A fuel (I) is produced by adding water to a stirred mixt. contg. waste coal, esp. coal dust, slack coal and the like, and comminuting grain particles produced, contg. large pore mineral material (II), and a binder (III). The mixt. is then formed in bricks and dried. USE/ADVANTAGE - (I) is used as a fuel for combustion furnaces (claimed), in the ceramic industry, esp. in the mfr. of bricks, in which the fuel forms large pore mineral material, the large pores forming air channels through which outside air can flow to enhance combustion
