The fodder beetroot cleaner has a pick-up basket (10) with a segmentally shaped part (12) in which runs a screw conveyor (14) drivable in both directions of rotation. A cutter (16) is arranged on one of the lateral ends of the pick-up basket. The latter is arranged to be fitted to a vehicle and is pref. formed by bars extending between side walls. ADVANTAGE - Facility for topping and cutting of lifted beetroot.
