PURPOSE:To provide a dielectric porcelain compsn. having superior characteristics, e.g. such a high dielectric constant as 60-110, such high no-load Q as >=2,000 and such a low temp. coefft. (tauf) of resonance frequency as <=100ppm/ deg.C in a dielectric resonator and electronic appliance used in a microwave band. CONSTITUTION:This dielectric porcelain compsn. is represented by a formula xBaO.yTiO2.zSm2O3.tNd2O3.wBi2O3 (where x, y, z, t and w show the mol fractions of the oxides, 0.06<=x<=0.25, 0.60<=y<=0.80, 0.05<=z<=0.18, 0<t<=0.07, 0<w<=0.05 and x+y+z+t+w=1). This compsn. may further contain one or more kinds of additives such as Al2O3 and ZrO2 or an element may be substd. for part of Ba in this compsn. The required purity of the Sm2O3 and Nd2O3 is >=70wt.%. |
