Conduits feed spilled fluid from the work surface to the collecting vessel. The vessel is entirely closed, and the conduits form evapn. regulating components, being so dimensioned that a slow and regulated evapn. of the volatile spill fluid takes place in the collecting vessel, with the feedback of the vapour to the space above the work surface for aspirating away via the suction device. This means that the concn. of spill vapour in the space is maintained at a lower level than would be the case if evapn. took place directly from the work surface. The collecting vessel is located beneath the work surface which actually forms its upper side. The conduits are formed as opening in the collection vessel extending over the whole upper side of the vessel. The vessel is formed with a bottom, and connecting sides of a tray, whilst its top side is formed by the outsides of bases of a number of U-profiles. |
