A granulating machine has a toothed shaft in a hopper, in which the teeth mesh in with those in the hopper where it has turnover plates, the narrower sides of which are parallel to the shaft and are toothed on both sides. The shaft (8) and the hopper (80) with its turnover plates (4) which have teeth on both sides. The shaft (8) is splined and cutters (9,10) are mounted on it. It (8) is driven by the end motor (13), transmission (14) and sliding clutch (12). The machine has a control box (23) with warning lamps (24). The cutters (9,10) are pushed off the shaft (8) and both they and the turnover plates can then be reground. The granules produced fall into a hopper (17) and are collected in the bag (19) below. Four or more plates (4) are used and can be released with their bearings (3). ADVANTAGE - Design has long service life/short regrinding times. It can process a variety of plastics.
