摘要 Driven-wheel brake cylinders (3a,3b) and idling-wheel brake cylinders (4a,4b) are supplied with fluid from a tandem master cylinder (2) connected to two reservoirs (30a,30b) with connecting channels (32) to hydraulic chambers (36) of variable capacity. Wheel-locking is counteracted by disconnection of these chambers allowing brake fluid to drain away from the cylinders. Wheelslip is checked by the reservoirs (30) acting as passages to maintain connection between the master cylinder (2) and the inlets of pumps (17) pressurising the brake cylinders (3). ADVANTAGE - Compact and inexpensively mfd. device prevents wheelslip during traction, and releases locked wheels during braking.
