Freezing dam-water feed protection for open-cast mining - uses freezing body introduced via freezing holes in mining edge with circulating cold medium in drill bars

The water flooding feed protection is for an open-cast mining site (1). It comprises a dam which is installed on all water flood sides of the mining site corresp. to the geological and hydrogeological conditions in the mining area which blocks off, dams, and diverts the water input. The dam is a freezing body produced by icing up holes through which a cold medium flows. USE/ADVANTAGE - The prevention of water flooding to solid and loose stone formations in an open-cast mining site, with the ground water in the site hinterland maintaining its usual level, and no so-called hinterland desolation occurring.
