PURPOSE:To obtain an optical recording medium which is chemically and physically stable and allows recording and regeneration with high sensitivity using a laser beam by providing an organic thin layer containing at least, more than one kind of specific phthalocyanine compound on a substrate. CONSTITUTION:An organic thin layer containing at least, more than one kind of phthalocyanine compound shown by formula [I] is provided on a substrate. In the formula, rings A<1> to A<4> are expressed by a benzene ring, a naphthalene ring or an anthracene ring. M is Al, Ga, In, Si, Ge or Sn. X is an alkyl group, an aryl group, a heterocyclic residual group, a phthalimidemethyl group, a halogen atom, a nitro group, a cyano group, a sulfonic acid group, -OR<1>, -SR<2>, -COOR<3>, -NR<4>R<5>, -SO2NR<6>R<7>, -CONR<8>R<9>, -CH2NHCOCH2NR<10>R<11>, -NHCOR<12>, -N=NR<13>, or -N=CHR<14>. Y is -O-P=W, -R<15>R<16>, -O-P=W, -NR<17>R<18>, -NR<19>R<20>, -O-P-R<21>R<22>, or -O-SE-R<23>. |
