PURPOSE:To enable detection of a line of slight which is quick and highly accurate by detecting positional information of an iris reflection image at a high accuracy utilizing an output signal from a photoelectric element array to meet requirements preset from a plurality of photodetector arralys composing an image sensor of a photodetecting means. CONSTITUTION:An eye ball 201 is lighted by a lighting means 5 (5a-5d) to detect imaging positions of a cornea reflection image and an iris reflection image on a specified surface by a photodetecting means 7. An arithmetic means 109 detects positional information from a photoelectric element array which generates the minimum output signal from among a plurality of the photodetector arrays 6 and utilizes information of the maximum pupil diameter of the eye ball having a detection range stored previously. The lighting means 5 has lighting sections 5a and 5b for cornea which detect a cornea reflection image alone of the eye ball by the photodetecting means 7 and lighting sections 5c and 5d for iris which detect the iris reflection image alone. |
