In the method the wheels (11, 12) are driven externally on supports (13, 18) with the rear wheels aligned with a defined transverse axis. The front wheels are allowed to adopt a free position. The adopted wheel linear and angular positions are measured and used to evaluate the axle geometry. The supports contain driven rollers and floating plates. USE/ADVANTAGE - For qualitative and quantitative measurement of inclination, i.e. faulty positioning, of rear axle of four-wheel vehicle, using equipment based on conventional techniques.
