PURPOSE:To restrain temperature rise in a printer caused by a heating roller to a minimum, to eliminate the waste of power and to reduce the time delay of starting printing caused by the startup of the heating roller. CONSTITUTION:A data processing part 62 and a printing engine controlling part 60 are provided. When a datum from a host computer is inputted, processed and edited at the data processing part 62; an engine controlling part 60 starts energizing to the heating roller simultaneously with the datum input. When the temperature of the heating roller reaches an appropriate temperature, the printing processing is executed, and the heating roller is stopped to be energized after finishing the printing processing. As a result, energizing time is small, and waiting time until the printing processing is started is small. |
