A polystyrene-based resin compsn. comprises: (i) a styrene-based polymer (I) of which the molecular structure relative to the stereospecificity is mainly syndiotactic; and (ii) an additive (II) selected from (a) thermoplastic resins, and (b) inorganic fillers. The compsn. opt. further comprises (iii) a pentaerithritol diphosphite (III); and (iv) a phenolic anti-oxidant. (III) is of formula (A), where R1 and R2 = independently, monovalent 1-20C alkyl, 3-20C cycloalkyl or 6-20C aryl.
