The supply line (21) is suspended between a number of successive carriages (31,32,...) at regularly spaced points along the travel path of the supplied load, with a tension restraint system for the for the supply line (21). This is provided by linking the successive carriages (31,32...) together so that any tension applied to the supply line (21) at the load end results in their relative movement, via a tension cable passed back and forth around deflection rollers at each end of each carriage (31,32...). ADVANTAGE - Allows supplied load to be displaced at relatively fast rate.
