PURPOSE:To make a driver easily recognize the direction to which a road leads, even when running is made in repeated turns to the right and the left on a zigzag road or the like. CONSTITUTION:An azimuth sensor 1, a vehicle speed sensor 2, a control element 3 conducting various computations and controls on the basis of signals from the two sensors 1 and 2, a display means 4 of conducting display of an azimuth and others in response to output signals from this control element 3, and an input means 5 for inputting an instruction on setting of an integration range and the like to the control element 3, are provided. The control element 3 calculates an azimuth vector for each running at a prescribed distance, determines an integrated azimuth vector by computing the vector sum of all the azimuth vectors corresponding to the set integration range, and outputs a control signal corresponding to the azimuth of the integrated azimuth vector thus determined. |
