The living room fireplace is so designed that it can be used as an open fireplace or as an enclosed one. The fireplace (1) has a plan form of roughly oval shape, formed by semicircular ends joined by straight lines. The front of the fireplace can be enclosed by two curved panes of glass (4). Each pane (4) forms a quarter-cylinder, which slides in upper and lower curved guides (6) in the fireplace. The latter is opened by sliding the panes sideways and then rearwards to its back.
