Glass for vehicles, including: from 65 to 80 % by weight of SiO2, from 0 to 5 % of Al2O3, from 0 to 5 % of B2O3, from 0 to 10 % of MgO, from 5 to 15 % of CaO, from 10 to 18 % of Na2O, from 0 to 5 % of K2O, from 5 to 15 % in all of MgO and of CaO, from 10 to 20 % in all of Na2O and of K2O, from 0.1 to 1 % of cerium oxide in terms of CeO2, from 0.2 to 0.6 % of iron oxide in terms of Fe2O3, from 0 to 0.005 % of CoO, from 0 to 0.01 % of NiO, and from 0.0005 to 0.005 % of Se; this glass may also contain from 0 to 1 % by weight of TiO2. This glass is grey-tinted while exhibiting an excellent absorptivity for ultraviolet rays and for heat.
