In the case of a column-like construction of the parts of the pivoting door, a compact design is achieved in that there is used as a drive for generating the pivoting movements a lifting drive (17) which is located preferably within the pivoting door and which generates the pivoting movements via helical slots (12) and sliding blocks (13) engaging therein, in the drive connection to the door wing (4) of the pivoting door.
