Thrust linkage for diaphragm clutch - with wire ring coupling between thrust bearing and diaphragm grip ring

The inside rim (8a) of the diaphragm (8) is gripped by a support which is joined to a thrust sleeve by a wire ring (23) held in a sprung location. The thrust sleeve incorporates the thrust bearing (3) which operates the clutch. The wire ring is split radially and is held in an open groove by a cup spring (27). It locates in a second groove (22c) in the thrust sleeve. To assemble the system it is simply pushed together axially. USE/ADVANTAGE - Simple assembly of diaphragm clutch, no separate jigs required for assembly.
