PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of folded distortion also when removing a certain band is necessary concerning the band division encoding system of a moving picture. CONSTITUTION:A signal band-divided in an input picture is inputted to two band-pass filters 2 and 3 to take out the signals in the neighbourhood of the upper and lower respective cut-off frequency of a band to include a folded component at least among the band component, respective outputs are obtained, the respective outputs are added and the output is obtained. A band control means is constituted by output terminals, the output terminal to output an input signal as it is and a selecting switch 5 to take out one from among the output terminals of non-signal and is constituted so as to control the band control means of the respective bands corresponding to the band component used for transmission. |
