PRODUCTION OF PRECURSOR OF SIC-BASED CERAMICS

摘要

PURPOSE:To efficiently and inexpensively produce a precursor capable of synthesizing SiC-based ceramics causing no deterioration of the characteristics and having especially superior strength at high temp. from a polycarbosilane molded body. CONSTITUTION:A polycarbosilane molded body is made infusible by contact with vapor of olefinic hydrocarbon or acetylenic hydrocarbon to produce a precursor of SiC-based ceramics.
