The drive of the model engine occurs by weight forces, i.e. force of gravity drive. The piston (2) has a laterally located finger-type projection which points vertically upwards. A stop lever (1) in connection with the piston forms a valve which activates the feed of a ball (3) at TDC of the piston. The upper face surface of the piston (2) has a considerable incline, and the cylinder (8) has a vertical bore and a horizontal outlet hole (5). A feed device (4) and a catchment device (6) are integrated. The frictional torque of the flywheel bearing (determined by friction pairing, lubrication, bearing dia., radial force) and the extent of the driving weight (3) have to be matched to one another. USE/ADVANTAGE - As a toy for children or a model for technical laymen to illustrate the principles of IC engines.
