Spring-bow drawing compasses - with legs covered with non-metallic material such as beech-wood

A pair of spring-bow compasses has the legs (2, 3) pivoted to a head (10) which has an attached finger grip (7). Each leg (2, 3) is provided with a clamp to attach a pencil lead (17) or a needle point (18). Each leg is covered, at least in part, with a non-metallic covering (4, 4'). This covering is so formed that it does not extend over the inside faces of the legs (2, 3). The finger grip (7) is covered with a separate cap (8). The covering (4, 4') may be made from e.g. beech wood. USE/ADVANTAGE - Spring-bow compasses for drawing circles with covering which can be discarded when worn.
