Fuel injection valve for IC engine - has ring of nozzles with each nozzle offset from radial line and at equal angles to each other

The fuel injection nozzle is for an IC engine and has a cylindrical bore which houses the needle valve. The cylindrical bore runs into the conical seat of the valve. The seat has a ring of nozzles (4) which are closed when the valve needle is pressed against the seat. Each nozzle has its axis offset from a radial datum line (O) passing through the axis of the cone which forms the valve seat. The radial datum lines are equally spaced from each other and the holes of adjacent datum lines are offset in opposite directions. All the nozzles are at 45 deg. to each other.
