PURPOSE:To improve the reliability of the magneto-optical disk by solving the problems by a temp. change in a recording medium arising from a change in environmental temp. and providing the recording medium which can be easily produced, is low in cost and has a long life. CONSTITUTION:The temp. of the recording medium is estimated by detecting a change in Kerr rotating angle from a reproduced signal at the time of recording the patterns 10 previously recorded in a recording medium temp. detecting region 5 provided on the recording medium 1 by an optical system 11 for detecting the recording medium temp. by utilizing the temp. dependency of the Kerr rotating angle of a magnetized film used for the recording medium of the magneto-optical disk. The result of the recording medium temp. detection is fed back to the optical system 6 for recording, reproducing and erasing to most adequately control a laser power, by which the sure recording, reproducing and erasing in the recording region 4 on the recording medium 1 are executed. |
