PURPOSE:To prevent a weld defect by freely advanceably and retreatably providing a mask having a through-hole of the diameter corresponding to the wavelength of a specific number in a laser beam passage of a ring or multimode waveform formed of a single laser beam oscillator. CONSTITUTION:The laser beam formed of the laser oscillator 1 is sent through an optical path 2 to a processing head 3. This laser beam is made into the laser beam having the ring or multimode 6 waveform. The mask 5 having the through-hole 4 of the diameter corresponding to the wavelength of the specific number is freely advanceably and retreatably provided in the passage for this laser beam. The good processed surface approximate to the processed surface obtd. by a single mode is obtd. by using the multimode in this way. |
