[Also in Division D1] A diaper is made from a woven fabric (Heading D1K) that has zones which shrink to form shaped portions (Figs. 12 to 16, not shown). The fabric may be multiply. A diaper blank with single and double ply portions is folded and stitched as in Fig. 4 (not shown) so that shrinkage will produce a shaped diaper as shown in Fig. 5, the shaped portion need not be centrally of the diaper. Fig. 11 (not shown) shows a folded and stitched single and double ply diaper blank which will shrink to the shape of Fig. 12b (not shown). Details of yarns, weaves, plies and shrinkage are given. |
