PURPOSE:To obtain a photopolymerizable composition showing spectral sensitivity over the ultraviolet and visible light regions by using a photopolymn. initiator consisting of a xanthene or thioxanthene dye, a sensitization accelerator and an org. peroxide. CONSTITUTION:When an addition-polymerizable compound having an ethylenic unsatd. double bond is blended with a photopolymn. initiator to obtain a photopolymerizable composition, the photopolymn. initiator is composed of a xanthene or thioxanthene dye (a) represented by the formula, N-phenylglycine, 2,4,6-tris(trichloromethyl)-1,3,5-triazine or a mixture of isobenzyl p- dimethylaminobenzoate with 2,4-diisopropylthioxanthone as a sensitization accelerator (b), and an org. peroxide (c). The resulting composition shows superior sensitivity over the ultraviolet and visible light regions and can form an image with low energy laser because of the high sensitivity. |
