The combination comprises: a) a component (A) containing a pyrimidine derivative of formula: in which R1 denotes in which R3 and R4 denote hydrogen, alkyl, alkenyl, alkylaryl, cycloalkyl, R3 and R4 can also form a heterocycle with the nitrogen atom to which they are linked, and R2 is hydrogen, alkyl, alkenyl, alkoxyalkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl, alkylaryl, arylalkyl, alkylarylalkyl, alkoxyarylalkyl or haloarylalkyl; and b) a component (B) containing a salicylic acid derivative; the components (A) and (B) forming part of one and the same composition or being intended for use separately, either simultaneously or successively or separated by an interval of time, on the hair and the scalp.
