NEW MATERIAL:A compound shown by formula I [X is identicalC-H or identicalN; R<1> is OH, (fluorine-substituted) lower alkoxy or protected OH; R<2> and R<3> are (hydroxyl-substituted) lower alkyl, carbamoyl-substituted lower alkyl, cyano- substituted lower alkyl or -N(R<2>)R<3> is 4-membered to 6-membered heterocyclic group containing one N atom which may be replaced with (hydroxy-substituted) lower alkyl or morpholinyl; R<4> is (protected) carboxyl]. EXAMPLE:Sodium 7-[(Z)-2-(2-aminothiazol-4-y1)-2-hydroxyiminoacetamido]-3-N,N- dimethylcarbamoyloxymethyl-3cephem-carboxylate. USE:An antimicrobial agent.
