PURPOSE:To provide the optical recording medium which is small in crosstalk and allows recording at a higher density. CONSTITUTION:This optical recording medium 10 consists of spirally or concentrically formed guide films 14 formed on a transparent substrate 12, spacing layers 16, recording layers 18 successively formed on the spacing layers 16 and a protective layer 20. The surfaces 22, on the substrate side, of the recording layers 18 positioned right above the substrate 12 parts where the guide films 14 are not formed are so disposed as to exist on the side nearer the substrate side than the surfaces 24 of the guide films 14 on the side opposite from the substrate 12. Then, the heat applied to the recording layers 18 by the laser beam projected form the substrate 12 side diffuses laterally toward the guide films 14 and is absorbed in the guide films 14, by which the heat to be transferred to the recording layers 18 disposed right above the guide films 14 is decreased. |
