<p>PURPOSE:To allow the automatic execution of required processing at the time of reproduction by constituting the above device in such a manner that the form of the analog video signals to be recorded can be surely detected at the time of reproduction without adding the circuits to be exclusively used. CONSTITUTION:The outputs of a video signal standard recording processing circuit 22 and a video signal high-quality recording processing circuit 23 are changed over by a switch SW 9 and the information to indicate the output of which circuit is to be recorded is formed by ID forming circuits 32, 36. This information is processed together with PCM audio signals and is digitally recorded on a magnetic tape 1. The information is extracted in ID extraction circuits 48, 52 via PCM audio reproduction processing circuits 50, 54 at the time of reproduction. The extracted information is supplied to a system controller 10 where a control signal CT4 is formed in order to selectively produce the output of the video signal standard reproduction processing circuit 58 and the output of the video signal high-quality reproduction processing circuit 59 by changing over a switch SW 10.</p> |
