PURPOSE:To form a proper toner image corresponding to a latent image by allowing an air flow which contains no toner to operate on a toner cloud flow which flows in parallel to a latent image carrying surface toward the carrying surface. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive body 11 is provided and a carrying surface for an electrostatic latent image is formed thereupon by a conductive substrate 12 and a photoconductive layer 13. A cloud flow containing toner particles which are charged electrostatically in advance is supplied from an intake 15 to form a toner cloud flow A nearly in parallel to the latent image carrying surface. On the other hand, air containing no toner particles is supplied from an intake 16 to form an air flow B operating on the latent image carrying surface nearly at right angles. Those flows A and B form a turbulent flow containing toner particles on the latent image carrying surface, so no toner sticks on a no-image part, toner particles stick corresponding to the latent image, and the running of the toner image is prevented. |
